Back online with more Venice pictures!!

Hi everyone! Phew, I have been a few days without my laptop, it was soooo slow! So my dad took it with him to check it out. So now, 4 days later, I am back with a clean and fast(er) computer yayay!!
Ofcourse I am posting a new set of pictures from Venice!!
Still on day 2: As I said in the previous post me and my mum went to the St. Marco square, and after that we saw the impressive Bridge of sighs. On the square, next the the famous basilisk, is the Dogenpalace (don't know if that is the correct English word for it though!!) We went inside and it was really impressive. Below you see some pictures of the so called 'golden stairway'.  And also of the courtyard, like the one with the gondola!

And the last two pictures are of the Bridge of sighs. On the left you can see the palace and on the right side of the bridge is the prison. People who were not agreeing with the leaders (who were seated at the palace) were sent to prison and had to walk that bridge. The bridge has two small windows and it was told that prisoners would sigh when they would see their precious Venice for the last time. That is were it's name comes from. My mum and I walked that bridge to and I can tell you it is really impressive! And also a bit scary, it is like you can feel the spirits of all the people who has walked it. Then we went to the prisoncells, it was soooo dark and sooo cold! Very creepy, and again really impressive. It is a totally different side of Venice, but to me a must see!
More pictures coming soon, of day 3 of my stay which includes the Rialto bridge!

Venice pictures, first batch!

Hi everyone. As promised I want to show you some pictures of my trip to Venice. I will post them in batches, because I have quite alot! I hope you like them.
My mum and I arrived in the early evening at our hotel, which was in front of the Canal Grande! Gondolas were right there, it was a magical sight. We ate some wonderful spaghetti and walked around to explore the surroundings near our hotel. It was fascinating to see the Canal with all the boats and the lights!

The next day we took the waterbus to see the St. Marco square! I did not let us down at all. In the bus we saw many beautiful buildings and the square was impressive with the basilisk and the palace, amazing!

Next time, more pictures of St. Marco square and also of the Bridges of Sighs!

Ciao! Back from Venice!

Hi everyone!! Yesterday evening I returned from the beautiful city of Venice. My mum and I had such a lovely time, we are still processing everything we have done and seen. It has been quite impressive! The buildings and boats, amazing. And the history is almost tangible, very impressive indeed. I still am quite tired from the journey and flight back, so for now I will post just this one picture of me at the St. Marco square. It was such a lovely day with lots of sunshine, gorgeous! I will post alot of pictures in the coming days. First some catching up on sleep hahaha.

The power of Piglet

Hi my friends. Ever since I was a kid I have been a fan of everything Winnie the Pooh. Tv shows, movies and books. My favourite character was, and still is, Piglet. I always thought I was a bit like him: short, sweet and a bit shy. But actually Piglet is really brave! I hope I am too :) Here are some of my favourite Piglet qoutes, that always put a smile on my face.

Tea for one

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. I am still here, on the couch with some left over flu. I am so done with the cold...and the flu for that matter. When you're sick it's a good time to indulge yourself in things you otherwise wouldn't. I have been watching alooot of tv. I saw the movie Lincoln, quite impressive and I can see why Daniel Day Lewis won the Oscar for best actor. Also I saw a movie with Daniel Radcliffe (it's Harry Potter yaya!!) where he was not Harry. It is called The woman in black and boy, it was a scary one about an abandoned house and ghosts. But is was good, I liked seeing Daniel outside of Hogwarts. And I have been catching up on one of my favourite series of the moment called Once upon a time. Where fairytale characters live in our world. Anyone else watching this show? I really love it! But usually anything fantasy related is fine with me. All of this I enjoyed with a cup of tea ofcourse. And my homemade pink coconut ruffle truffles!

Hi my friends! How are you all today? I had a lovely day, with lots of sunshine! Me and my dad took a bikeride through some local parks and sat in the sun. Brilliant!
