A day in Delft: canals and Vermeer

Just a few days ago me and a dear friend went to one of my favourite cities in Holland; Delft. I love going there, with it's small streets and canals. The old and impressive buildings just make the history of the city tangible. One of my favourite painters Johannes Vermeer was born in Delft. He painted the famous Girl with the pearl earring. And Willem of Orange lived there and was killed in Delft, the hall where he was killed is now a small museum. Want to know more about Delft? Just read this interesting wiki-page. {LIFE} Snapshots of life

Ok, let's pretend today is monday and this post is on time :) I have a few of my snapshots for you! It has been another hot week, with high temperatures and being lazy in the garden. I took a trip to one of my favourite cities: Delft, and did some more baking for Sweetie Pies. In an upcoming post I will share some pictures of Delft! Throwback thursday: Madrid

Hi friends! Recently I have been spotting all these awesome Throwback thursday posts, with pics from the past. I thought this was such a fun and cool idea, that I just had to steal this for my own blog! Today I will post some pictures from my trip to Madrid in the summer of 2010. I met my amazing friend Zhenya there, who I wrote letters with. I finally got to meet her there, and we had a great time!

{Crafting/DIY} Make your own bookstands

Hi everyone! I just saw these supercool bookstands on Pinterest, and they are sooo easy to make yourself. Just glue a toy to a wooden block, spray paint them and that's it. You have your own unique bookstands!
Aren't they pretty darn fab?! Let me know if you have a cool DIY project. I would love to read/see it!

{LIFE} Snapshots of life

Hi all!! Did you enjoy your weekend? There is a heatwave here in Holland. We are not that used to heat, so it's kinda crazy right now. I am sitting outside and sweating while typing this. But hey, I shouldn't complain...I wanted summer so now I have it! With the start of this new week I am introducing a new series of posts. On monday I will post my Snapshots of life. What I have pinned

Hi friends! I thought it was time for another 'What I have pinned'. My amount of followers on Pinterest has been growing like crazy! Lovely!! I have been pinning alot of baking recipes and some Home and Garden.

Finally in bloom!

Hi friends! Today was a lovely day here in Holland. Sunshine and high temperatures. A perfect day to take some pictures in my backgarden. All the flowers in my garden are finally starting to bloom, whcih is quite late in the year. But I always enjoy these times, when everything is blooming. All those amazing colours!

My raspberries are looking yummie! And there are aloooot of them this year! Great to use in my baking!
I also had a visitor in the garden, while I was taking my pictures.

Sweetie Pies logo is done!

Hi all! I am super proud and excited to show you the Sweetie Pies logo and header for my website. My mum made this amazing drawing for me and I love it! It's perfect for my cateringcompany.

Isn't it the cutest?! My mum also made a drawing that will appear on the website, on the orderform.

So now the website is getting nearer to being done and done! And my bussiness is almost ready to start rocking and rolling hahaha. I will keep you all updated on this ofcourse! On another note, I will post some pictures of my garden very soon. All is now in bloom and looking lovely. Have a great day!
