A day in Delft: canals and Vermeer

Just a few days ago me and a dear friend went to one of my favourite cities in Holland; Delft. I love going there, with it's small streets and canals. The old and impressive buildings just make the history of the city tangible. One of my favourite painters Johannes Vermeer was born in Delft. He painted the famous Girl with the pearl earring. And Willem of Orange lived there and was killed in Delft, the hall where he was killed is now a small museum. Want to know more about Delft? Just read this interesting wiki-page. And as promised, some pretty pics!
A nice view on a canal and one of the two famous churches

Say cheese!
